Deacs Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising event. As part of the Wake Forest community, your participation will allow us to create opportunities for our current Deacs. You can give to any school, program, and fund within the Deacs Day of Giving site.

Deacs Day of Giving 2023 will take place on Tuesday, September 12.

Regardless of the area you decide to support, September 12th is your chance to make the most out of your gift and show off your Deacon Pride. Every donation will count toward challenges throughout the day and each campaign description provides more information of what your gift would go towards.

When making a gift, each donor will have the opportunity to indicate their current or past Greek affiliation and their current Wake Community on the payment page.

Yes! No matter what your philanthropic passion is, there is something for everyone at Wake Forest! Through Deacs Day of Giving on September 12, 2023, you can give to the undergraduate or graduate school with which you have a personal connection, or you can support your favorite sports team or a program like the Wake Forest Fund for Student Aid or the Z. Smith Reynolds Library. Wherever you decide to direct your support, your gift will make a difference in the lives of our students and faculty. The Deacs Day of Giving site can only support a limited amount of funds and departments, however, if you would like to make a gift to an area not listed on our site please visit our standard giving site here to make your gift. We will add the gifts made in this manner into the totals for Deacs Day of Giving.

You can make a recurring gift through the Wake Forest University site here. Please note that only payments processed on September 12, 2023 will count toward Deacs Day of Giving, so while the first installment will be eligible for challenge match funds, your grand total will not be.

The minimum donation is $10.

All funds listed on our Deacs Day of Giving site are considered tax-deductible. If applicable, you will be notified by athletics with respect to any benefits provided by them in consideration of gifts made to those divisions. We recommend you consult your tax advisor for specific tax advice.

First, thank you for your support! While we certainly would encourage you to consider another gift on Deacs Day of Giving, your support in other ways is also appreciated! You can help in promoting Deacs Day of Giving among your friends and family through our social toolkit!

Make your gift to any designation of the Wake Forest Fund to be counted as a reunion donor, or make your gift directly to your reunion campaign by selecting your class here!

Choose any campaign under the Parents’ Campaign for your gift to be counted toward the Parents’ Campaign!

If you would like to make a Deacon Club contribution for the 2023-2024 year, please specifically designate "Deacon Club." Any other Athletics designation would be greatly appreciated as "over and beyond" your Deacon Club contribution for the year.

We encourage you to promote Deacs Day of Giving on your social media channels using the assets in our social toolkit. Additionally, you can share our Deacs Day of Giving website with your friends and family.

The Wake Community leaderboard is based on the number of people registered as part of that community in our system. The goal on our Unit leaderboard is based on the number of people who donated to that unit last fiscal year.

The leaderboards have a delay so you will not see your gift immediately impact where that unit or area stands on the leaderboards.

Some challenge winners will be randomly selected. Other challenge winners will be determined by the number of donors who select a Greek affiliation and or/ Wake Community when making their gift, or by giving to a specific school, program, or fund. The word unit represents one of the 8 main areas to which you can donate on Deacs Day of Giving. These areas are University Wide Initiatives, Athletics, College, Graduate School, School of Business, School of Divinity, School of Law, and Z. Smith Reynolds Library.

No, in order for your gift to count towards the Young Alumni Match, you must make a gift or Giving Society commitment to any area of the Wake Forest Fund on Deacs Day of Giving.

Any undergraduate alumni who graduated in 2014 through 2023 and makes a gift or Giving Society commitment to any area of the Wake Forest Fund on Deacs Day of Giving qualify for the Young Alumni Match.
